It wasn’t the greatest of played games by our Crusaders, but Wellington won nevertheless pretty comfortably.After Rose Hill scored on its opening drive to take a 7-6 lead, the Crusaders would grab a 12-7 first quarter lead on a Grey Hatfield 5-yard touchdown run. Then Zane Cornejo would create a fumble with the Rockets deep in their own territory, to score from the 10. Hatfield would end the half right to take a 25-7 lead.The second half saw Wellington score two more touchdowns and see the running of freshman back Michael Cullens getting much of the carries late.Wellington, now 7-2, battles Buhler at home next Friday night at 7 p.m. We will have the full story, tomorrow.last_img
