Kuusisto joins ENCE with 15-years of experience in building various sales and marketing teams in both technology and gaming start-ups. Former CEO and Founder Petri Hämälä will remain at the company focusing on player development.2018 has been a good year for the Finnish outfit, with their CS:GO squad winning the StarSeries i-League Season 6 finals against Vega Squadron and netting the organisation a cool $125,000 (£100,000) in the process. ENCE attribute a lot of the success of their all Finnish roster to their acquisition of superstar player Aleksi “allu” Jalli.More recent success for the organisation came at BlizzCon, where their Finnish StarCraft 2 and Zerg master Joona “Serral” Sotala, became the first non-Korean to win the StarCraft WCS Global Finals, beating Korean Kim “Stats” Dae-yeob(김대엽) 4-2.Mika Kuusisto, CEO, ENCE eSports Oy, had this to say about the new role: “I could not be more excited to join the leading Finnish esports organization. They will also take part in the Rainbow Six: Winter event being hosted at DreamHack.Esports Insider says: ENCE clearly feel that this new leadership is exactly what the team needs to drive them forward after the teams’ success in 2018.
