first_imgAUBURN — Defensive end Carl Lawson is still not far along enough in his recovery from off-season ACL surgery to discuss a comeback for the final stretch of the season.The sophomore has been out all season and appears increasingly likely to be a candidate for a medical hardship waiver.“Until he’s 100 percent healthy my number one concern is his long-term health,” Auburn coach Gus Malzahn said. “He’s a great player and has a great future. That’s all there really is to it right now.”On Oct. 20, Malzahn said Lawson’s knee was not “good enough” to talk about a comeback for this season.last_img
