On Saturday, United batted first and were bowled out for a below par 123 with Hebou PNG Barramundis batsmen, Lega Siaka (30), John Boge Reva (20) and Sese Bau (19) all among the runs while Greg Baeau were impressive with the ball taking 4/12 for Kempa. In reply, Kempa were bowled out for 93 with Leke Morea (3/0), Lega Siaka (2/15) and Mahuru Dai (2/21) doing the damage with the ball for United while Michael Rawali scored 40 runs for Kempa. In the Sunday matches, Poreporena defeated Coasters by 25 runs, while Hoods were too good for Wanderers winning by 34 runs. Poreporena posted 7/129 off their allotted 20 overs with Jack Vare-Kevere (47), Riley Hekure (22) and Dogodo Bau (21) all making valuable contributions with the bat. In reply, Coasters collapsed early in their innings and managed to be bowled out for 104 in the final over. Norman Vanua (30) was the top scorer for Coasters while Riley Hekure (3/22), Toua Gamu (2/8) and Dogodo Bau (2/16) all took multiple wickets for Poreporena. Hoods were bowled out for a disappointing 100 inside 19 overs, with Hebou PNG Barramundis captain, Assad Vala top-scoring with 35 runs while Heni Siaka (4/23) and Bobby Diho (3/29) took seven wickets between them for Wanderers. In reply, Wanderers were never in the hunt, managing only 9/66 off their 20 overs. Vala was the star with the ball for Hoods taking 5/9.last_img
