As the organizers point out, despite the rich musical heritage and certain incentives, the Museum of Music has not yet come to life in Croatia. Thus, the initiative is underlined through the theme of Museum Night 2017 “Music and musical greats and their impact on society” and is a kind of contribution to such commendable efforts.In 2016, Museum Night was visited by 340.000 visitorsBy the way, in Museum Night 2016 there were a record 340.000 visitors in 100 cities and 216 institutions with programs at more than 250 locations! More than 145.000 visitors were recorded in Zagreb, more than 47.000 in Split, 21.400 in Zadar, 18.000 in Rijeka, more than 15.000 in Pula, more than 10.000 in Dubrovnik, more than 8.000 in Osijek…The Croatian Museum Society has been organizing the Museum Night event in Croatia since 2005. The initiators of the Night of Museums in Croatia event, the authors of the program concept and the project leader are mr.sc. Vesna Jurić Bulatović and M.Sc. Dubravka Osrečki Jakelić, who in December 2005. launched the action as a city pilot project with six Zagreb museums.
